Salad with Grilled Veggies and Fried Feta Cheese


 


Does a salad needs to be cold...hell no...This easy but super tasty salad with warm veggies and fried feta cheese can be eaten as a lunch, starter our a main course. The powerful taste of this Greek cheese combines awesome with the grilled veggies like zucchini and paprika. Adding some red onion and black olives making this a salad beloved by many. 


Ingredients (2 persons)


  • ½ Roman Lettuce

  • 100 gr Feta Cheese

  • 1 Paprika

  • ½ Zucchini

  • 1 Tomato

  • ¼ Cucumber

  • 2 tsp Fried Onion

  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil

  • Salt and Pepper

  • 2 Eggs

  • 2 tbsp Flour

  • Breadcrumbs

  • 1 Lemon

  • 1 Red Onion

  • Some Olives

Equipment

  • Fry Pan

  • Cutting Board

  • Grill Pan

Preparation



1. Wash and slice the lettuce.


2. Wash and dice the tomato and the cucumber.


3. Cut the feta in 4 pieces, stir the egg in a bowl, get the feta through the flour, then through the egg and finally the breadcrumbs.


4. Slice the zucchini and paprika in rather big chunks, sprinkle with some olive oil, pepper, salt and grill.


5. Bake your feta cheese gold brown in the deep fryer.


6. Put the sliced salad , tomato, cucumber on a plate, sprinkle some olive oil and lemon juice of 1/2 lemon over it, serve the other part of lemon on the side.


7. Add the grilled zucchini and paprika.


8. Slice the red onion in rings and add together with the olives to the salad.


9. Put the fried feta cubes on top of the salad.
